Our History
In 1977 Richard and Regina Brown founded Manufacturing Services, Inc, in Swainsboro, Georgia. Manufacturing Services, Inc. began its operation with two punch presses, one 3′ shear, one 6′ brake, and a surface grinder. In 1981 the company embarked on an ambitious plan to acquire state-of-the-art fabricating equipment and make a dedicated investment in training for people to operate it.
With expansions in 1982, 1984, 1986, and 1988, Manufacturing Services, Inc. moved into a new 60,000 square foot industrial building in 1989, and changed its name to Advanced Metal Components, Inc. Today AMC operates from a 127,000 square foot facility and supplies contract manufacturing services to businesses in the industrial equipment, construction, medical, refrigeration, recreation, and telecommunications industries.
